I was invited to do a VJ set for the band, Modern Cinema Master, at the NCCU Music Festival. I operated real-time audio-reactive visuals for over 30 minutes using TouchDesigner and Resolume Arena.

The process begins by immersing oneself in the band's music style and meeting them in person to experience their live performance. This helps in understanding their energy and stage presence. Following this, I brainstorm visuals inspired by the music and lyrics to craft a distinct visual style for each song. Using TouchDesigner and Resolume Arena, I can manipulate most visuals and effects in real-time and make them audio-reactive. To add authenticity and spontaneity, I incorporate images from real-time feeds like web-based security cameras and dashcams, along with generative animations. This blend of techniques ensures each performance is visually engaging and aligned with the band's artistic vision.

During the performance, the lighting and visuals make the concert more engaging for the audience. Real-time audio-reactive graphics and dynamic lighting effects immerse the audience in the music, making each moment memorable. Using TouchDesigner and Resolume Arena allows for seamless control of visuals and effects, ensuring they sync perfectly with the music. This blend of techniques ensures each performance is visually stunning and deeply connected to the band's artistic vision.
